Just play with console players, my static cleared it, on content, multiple times and we were all on PS5
Literally couldn’t cheat.

>killed it on old BLM eight times
>wanted to do more
>they go and change my job
That hurt so legitimately I actually grown to like the game significantly less over the past few months to the point I nay not be subbed by the time 8.0 roles around.

This is a game about waiting for stuff to happen until you are tired of waiting and quit.
Their ridiculously strict development cycle makes it so when they get feedback, it only gets addressed like a year later because oops, can't change anything we already set.
By that point people are already incredibly frustrated and when shit finally gets addressed it ends up being too little too late.
Doesn't help that their server infrastructure or code or whatever is stuck in the prehistoric age where if they want to implement a shitty hotfix like this one:
https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/news/detail/db6581b38de46f8a9dca0e57aad396dc45bf7c85
They have to take THE ENTIRE GAME down for TWELVE (12) HOURS.
Other games can implement a small patch like that in 15 minutes at worst, while you are in the game too (though you need to exit and come back again for the patch to get implemented properly, still, it takes no time). They can also address issues with the game in a few days/weeks instead of waiting 2 MONTHS at best for your feedback to get considered.

If something kills FFXIV, it's their inability to course correct in time.
People are just fucking tired of waiting for everything.
