Almost all of the starship designs post-2009 are so fucking UGLY too it genuinely infuriates me. Everything is all jagged lines, bulbous nacelles that ruin the flow, or in the case of Discovery, a flying pizza cutter with chopsticks. 20-30 years ago these designs would have been rejected. In fact, in the case of the Crossfield class, it WAS based on a Ralph McQuarrie concept that was REJECTED because the producers thought it was UGLY.
