And since he was the Talekeeper of the Galka he had an entire race's worth of white hot rage to tap into plus the Zvahl mothercrystal underneath his castle. Odin just used him to start the Crystal War so he could kidnap a choir girl from Tavnazia and get out of his whack ass crystal prison.
