Been playing 6 months and I don't understand the crazy gap in damage in this game (Last Night and Fiend Hunter)

Do people load all their equipment with crit damage and spend the day fishing for criticals?

Are planning to switch over to the select tickets for event rewards?

If they do that then I'll have no choice but to save all my red tickets for limited banners.
