This is so universal, there really is no good explanation.
feminism? Birth rate is cratering in the muslim world, lot's of really conservative countries around this globe see these massive drops.
Personal Finances? Hungary went big on trying to reverse the decline, basically making being a mother a middle income job. South Korea also have some generous payouts to mothers. It doesn't have any measurable effect..
The internet? The decline obvious predates the internet.. So no blame on social media.

The seeds of revolt lay at the moment in inactivity. Truth be told the economy cannot be efficiently managed as the jobless rate and labor participation rate are lies. If zoomers came out in mass and said yes we want to make iPhones and robots that make iPhones, we want to be roofers and pick fruit after school the market would respond and attempt to utilize this labor. The actual results was a complete rejection of the economic opportunities available. Rightly or wrongly, this cycle had begun before the the layoffs in progress now focused on tech and retail, it shall grow. Endless mouths to feed and house with nothing to show for it, a government that is incapable of entitlement reform and cannot reverse destruction by debt, it is apparent where society is heading. If one has issues with the government they could become armed combatants or simply wait for the end result of a math problem. Incompetence and frivolous spending will continue and the more it does the sooner trouble starts, so why contain it? It became apparent no administration, red or blue, can do anything other than temporary fan service for their base without solving actual problems. The anger necessary for the action you believe is justified is in fact present, I can see it in the way people drive and throw away lives casually. But until crashing figuratively or literally these potential rebels are different from the first group mentioned. They have no one to leech off, all effort goes towards survival, collecting ever worthless money, paying bills. Should this no longer be possible, you'll see some real shit. I know blue collar workers that would turn warlord or war boy if the paychecks stop or become meaningless but given the opportunity try to live their lives, create families and vote for figures like Trump. Violence, as it should be, is to them an option of final resort. For those of us bearish about the general state we gather things for the turning.
