They try to with Old Man Jake after Sisko gets stuck in subspace forever. Sisko comes back when Jake is 80 for an emotional Interstellar like "my daddy promised hed come back" scene but the whole time you cant get over the fact hes a black dad who left to go get cigarettes, its way funnier than they intended.
