Eventually I found out that the cat had a seizure problem, and one day she had a seizure and bit into her belly, and more or less skinned herself alive. When I got up to take a piss at 2AM she walked up to me with her entire underside covered in blood and her subcutaneous fat dragging on the floor while growling. In the process of restraining her to get her in the carrier my arm was mauled fairly badly and wound up getting infected awfully. Unfucking that whole situation was the most "adult" moment of my life so far, I feel. What a mess that was.
