I own both a decent gaming laptop that I use mainly for school and a steamdeck that funny enough has helped me get better at linux since I work in cyber security.

If you're going to get anything the very least you can factor in is when and where will anyone of these things be used? Because in my own experience my steamdeck is nothing more than a indie and emulation machine but I also don't see nothing wrong with that

Eventually I found out that the cat had a seizure problem, and one day she had a seizure and bit into her belly, and more or less skinned herself alive. Dude at the end of the day go check how cyberpunk runs on a steam deck and then go check how it runs on any Z2 based device. The difference isn't worth the 600 dollar price difference. There obviously must be very good reasons for valve just coming right out in the open to announce that they have no plans on making any Z2 based device. Because it is not worth it. Depends on my mood but generally my list for most used device to least used is

Android tablet for Internet browsing and videogames laying back in comfort.
Gaming laptop plugged into the big tv for emulating console games on the couch with a controller.
Desktop PC for games that are designed around keyboard and mouse.

I almost never play anything on my gpd win except for when I used to bring it to work to secretly play videogames in the back room or I'll take it with me kayaking because it's cool to work and play videogames in the middle of the lake.

If my laptop wasn't plugged into my TV I'd probably use it even less than the win. It's really only good for long distance traveling or working at the coffee shop.
