Yes, conditional releases so that you may *continue to serve* in some other capacity (like a commission) usually get approved. It’s unusual for them not to be approved. Is it technically possible for them to be denied? Yes, but this is the military. Nothing’s ever guaranteed, so just work towards what you want and hope it works out.
