Wrathnilla repack by Ed Kay will become the gold standard solo wow project. No bots, the whole classic game rebalanced, dungeons and raids rebalanced by hand. PvP NPCs removed. Look into it. Legit looking like the best version of wow to date.

As Microsoft, I'd shut down blizzard and quietly finance turtle wow. It would release as a paid for boxed product in the style of the original boxed release of WoW.
It would release with the option of playing the game single player as was intended at one point in WoWs development. Using your other toons as recruit-able computer controlled allies at inns. Alliance and Horde could only recruit toons from their respective factions.
Traditional mmo realms would also exist with different rule sets. Single player realms would be hosted locally, multiplayer realms obviously not.
