Not him but surely it is theoretically possible that someone can have genes that dispose them towards depression. Scientists think that your genes can increase your risk of depression.

Remember, everyone has different genes, due to genetic mutations. I think it's possible that some people might have genetic mutations that put them at a higher risk of getting depressed.

Thoughts on psychiatry?

>Are psychiatric drugs ever useful?
>Are the side effects so bad that you should never take psych drugs?
>If the pros of a drug objectively outweigh the cons for a particular person, then there is no problem with them taking the drug, right?

In your opinion, docs, do psych meds actually help people? Or are they just used to make patients shut up and stop complaining about their problems in life?
