You won't get lost in V. It's a different experience where you'll be mostly alone and story cutscenes are separated by long windows of just walking around and exploring.

Their presentation, atmosphere and soundtrack. It doesn't take lots for me to think they are interesting. A giant fuck-off tower with angels imprisoned in them (Kagome) is cool. So is an office-space you have to go through in Midtown. Reverse Hills are haunting and creepy, and so is Pluto Castle, though admittedly short. The only boring dungeon I can think of is Naraku and that's because it's literally a cave you go down through, and even then for a first timer the effect of emerging in Tokyo is an interesting one, especially after the gauntlet of Minotaur and Medusa.

Then in V you get two dungeons where one is a bunch of corridors and the other is a bunch of staircases, and while they also look cool, there wasn't much else about them. They're longer, sure, but you spend 90% of them holding R2 and running through.
