You wanna know the saddest part? It's not even like you can blame the new writers for Futurama being boring now. Most of the staff for this latest revival were veterans; they're just outright incapable of matching the narrative & comedic quality of the show they breathed life into decades earlier.

The best possible people spearheaded these Hulu seasons and they STILL turned out disappointing and lame.

The first few episodes will establish what happened, Connie married Chane because she recognizes Bobby is a dead end with no upward mobility, Bobby is happy to settle and she isn't.

But she sleeps with Bobby, which is what leads to Bobby losing his job, and career and having to move back in with his parents.

Allen probably should have a bit of a complex about it by now but he plays the Chiefs well every time. I think McDermott's the one with the yips.

I would like to see Allen get one shot with a HC who isn't getting bamboozled by Andy Reid every game. The Chiefs offense looked way better in that Buffalo game than they did against anyone else. And McDermott is supposed to be a defensive coach
