anon, i agree with most of what you're saying. but in all types of finance (trad and decentralized), all anyone ever cares about is number go up. why would anyone care about something else? is it really a "point" against non-BTC maxis?

shitcoin gambling is indeed the "primary" use-case right now, but DeFi is a real thing, and it requires smart contracts.

best examples of DeFi are borrowing/lending (Aave), decentralized exchanges, with or without leverage (Uniswap, GMX, etc.) where you can, in theory, trade synthetic assets (stocks for instance, just as you might on Robinhood).

as smart contracts exist today, they can't be triggered without someone signing something. I believe the point of 'reactive network' is automated smart contracts that react to events. i could be wrong.

regardless, points above stand. Bitcoin is decentralized money. Ethereum is decentralized finance.
