Black armor is definitely a win. Think the gradients on the gems like that anons deamonsmith is also a win, because the red standard ones are so boring.
But the most striking thing about lining them up like this is that you see how muted and washed-out the official scheme really is.
I think having that bold black and strong gold would actually make the green fire they have going on look great. Especially with purple cloth to contrast it.
The official scheme just fucks it up. Pic sort of related.

A Lammasu, or some sort of greater deamon/verminlord equivalent. A centaur hero.
And if they get terrain; Let it be a drill pod for deep striking some slow ass dwarfs onto the enemy's side of the table.

The color scheme I've been brewing on since the 3rd edition Chorf teaser is so similar to the colors used for the official one, I feel like it's been made lamer by comparison... Just with more saturated and bolder colors, and no brass.
Basically I was gonna steal this scheme here, including the base.
Not sure If I'm gonna use it now. The armor seems really hard to replicate on the scalemail.
It would turn out very purple and gold, and much less black if I sponged or drybrushed the scales gold.
