Don't skip cutscenes
A lot of level 1-50 is backtracking a ton so make sure you talk to the chocobo porters
Things don't hit when the animation starts, they hit when that little bar fills up. So oftentimes you'll be caught on something you were in a second ago, so always get out early.
There's a setting for your skills to target the nearest enemy somewhere. Not sure where it is on PS5.
