the final sidearm blackpill is that no pure dps pistol really cuts it for metaslaving because the explosive+ picks namely Ulti, Loyalist, and GP can pull so much more weight than the rest both dps and map clearing wise. Senator in particular is quite nastly for reload time and capacity compared to its closest peers. however, ballistic pistols are fun and you should keep using it if you find it fun. for me it's Verdict though, more spammable, much snappier reload, tactical reload.

I've used Senator for a very long time but eventually got tired of it being too reload intensive, low capacity, and pointlessly overpen for most of the tasks I want to be on my sidearm for
something really flexible like Verdict just carries more weight imo
