I do not partake in any form of shipfaggotry (sans a question I asked while the series was airing) nor I usually involve myself with any fandom outside of here, but I do share the sentiment. I haven't been this obsessed with an animu and its characters in a long time. For instance, there is always at least one series I obsess over in a year, it happened last year, in 2023 (Maigo being one of them), in 2022, etc, but to this level of fixation; very few manage that. The last ones I can think of are Beginning of a New Era, the Revue Movie (but those are films), The Rolling Girls, and Penguindrum. The airing threads being amazing helped too.
Now with that being said, and despite the level of obsession I have with this series as a whole, I wouldn't put MaigoMujica in my 20 favorites --yet--. Maybe after I do my rewatch I could put them in, but I kind of doubt it. Depending of how S3 goes, they might end up there though. They are, however, within my 30 favorites, without a single shred of doubt from my part, and I have watcehd a fuck ton of anime.
