It's what some people call control, but the midrange label is more accurate. Control decks have clear wincons that opponents cannot readily interact with. The so-called "control" abyss deck just throws midrange value cards at the opponent until they eventually choke on the value. Cerb doesn't function as a control wincon since she cannot reliably do her face damage combo twice like orchis can. She's more like Albert in that she functions as a wincon for an aggro deck if setup with sufficient early game pressure. In the midrange shell she's just another value card that helps clear board and provide some heals.
