I mean, you are not wrong but there's only so much you can do with teeth for a face aside of talking and 90% of those things is biting. I do wonder how hard he can bite and if he would quit at the sign of hurt or if he has enough bite strength to tear limbs apart (given his teeth aren't attached to a mouth)

Many things starting from that point are really too convenient when you think of it. I see that theory of their avatars reflecting the humans inner issues and it's very difficult to not think theres some mind delving in there in order to create the models instead of being a randomized process we are made to believe
True mind possession might not be a thing but we gotta remember: Caine can manipulate their physical models without their mental input that's true and also the humans can still feel pain or an approximation of it so head injuries are a possibility that is true too -head trauma on the other hand we don't know aside of kinger-. a human might not be able to fall into a vegetable state because that is a type of death and therefore "prohibited" by the game but if it were to happen then it's very possible Caine could go to just puppeteer the unresponsive body to make it do activities not really understanding why the human themselves doesn't do it (and to everyone's horror)
