Shimmy herself isn't a bad character, EqG itself is questionable though. It'd have been better if EqG wasn't tied to FiM at all and was it's own thing.

People hating MY WIFE, Glimmy, are actually just projecting their hate of Twilicorn onto her because Glimmy represents what Twilight used to be: A QT Unicorn. None of the other "criticisms" against her hold any weight and could actually be used against Twilight.
