The guy you're talking to is a /trash/naroker who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, hell flies arent bosses so your guess is correct, there's not much difference in incoming dps between the cards. But consider that the hardest hitting skill belongs to the boss itself, so if you aren't stacking demon res alice could be better just to not get oneshot by spiral.
