To add to this,
I saw your threads on /v/ and while the initiative was good and sound, somehow drama was dragged from /vg/ and into the thread.

If you really want to bring people back, you might have to do a soft reset of sorts. You'll want bullies to be active again, yes, not memeing. Them being around will motivate other players to go up the ladder.
You'll also want promo material, art, all of this aimed at gathering people for the server, not just imagery you found on google or a booru. You need involvement from those still playing.

Imagine some sort of "refresh" or a small relaunch, just a small event that would help new players. Quality of life changes and renewal enemy tweaking (or their outright removal), if you want renewal features bring them to pre-renewal and nerf them into the ground. Don't divide the playerbase because otherwise you'll end up with only one kind of party in the end and the others will wonder what to do, eventually leaving the server.

Ragna, you really need to tweak the endgame so people find other stuff to do that is just as "entertaining".

Agreed, the midgame is really bad, it's super easy to get stuck with super slow leveling at around 70+ yet all the fun things to do start at 84+ and the really good equipment is only useable at lvl 90 so you feel like your character is awful until then.

I wouldn't be able to blame anyone who stops playing when hitting the 60 ~ 70 lvl point, both pre and post trans.

What niggerdev should have done is buff random maps that could be done as early as low 50 and good enough until about the early 70s to have good exp. Byalan 6 had the right idea but was way too much.

Theres nothing to work towards either, as all the gear that would be useful at that level is locked behind higher levels farming it. So your only choice is to just accept constant hand-me-downs and feel like an eternal leech, or grind your ass off for maybe the promise of being able to join content later (also with hand me downs)

That's why I get so fucking mad at Dev's dumbass decision regarding the Einbech 3 downport. An area with shit exp but mobby, ensuring low level players can't function down there without gettin swarmed, and the EXP isn't allowed to be good because in the dev's own words you apparently can't have good exp with "good" drops in the same map, so you can farm stones you can't do anything with because you are sure as fuck not getting a crafting rate higher than 1% as a fresh newbie making a new blacksmith. Once again you have to twiddle your thumbs and wait for the max level players to group up and spoonfeed you the craft you spent all your time farming.
At least the weapons are strong, but they really fucking shouldn't be. They should be much weaker and MUCH more attainable for newfags if its going to be "level 70" gear.

You can explore all you want but it feels bad to explore around when you only kill things at a snails' pace since you can't equip anything, and there's also a combination of bad exp with bad drops, is not even that there's a need for exp pinatas, but you should get some reward either in exp or drops for going out and exploring, but instead you mostly get punished by not getting any of the 2, best you can do is farm some cards.

Classes with lack of the ability to mob or kill quickly also need to spend way more time than others just to get to the level where they can join high lvl parties and do content of any kind, which is also particularly awful in some cases.

It's really weird, because that 60 ~ 85 lvl range is very slow, but once you hit 84+ the game starts picking up in speed and you can easily grind to 99 pre-trans and at least 90 something post trans in less than a day, you become able to start joining high lvl parties for mvps and other stuff, as well as use nearly all the equipment in the game, so it's only that 60 ~ 85 range that's extremely slow for some reason.

It wasn't meant to have multiple builds on one char because it was meant to make you build multiple of each class so they could force you to pay for more subscriptions, why the hell do you think they made it so the formulas for most things are obscure and so many classes need to build different stats for different skills (ie Alchemists need luk, dex and int for crafting but luk is actually pointless for them in every other aspect of their class)

They literally sell you stat refund potions and skill resets because that's an easy way to make more cash, since people won't want to lvl the same classes a billion times on the same account.
It's also why the refine system is so shit, is so they can sell you safe refine tickets and chance increasing ores.

Now, just because that was the way it was meant for them to make them the most amount of money doesn't mean it has to be the way we have to play the game, there's a reason private servers exist.

Obviously niggerdev can't manage a server, so what if I made the server? Here are my ideas:


6 Months seasonal server, every 6 months the server is reset, 4 months would be good too but I fear this might be too much.
Only 1 account allowed per player
Only 1 character allowed per account
Rollback the merchant class changes so that they are an actual merchant class part of the original game dynamic
Bring Homonculus back in, but nerf the ability to afk farm, maybe give alch the ability to manually use their homonculus to attack without them acting independently
7x rate, 0.20% for cards, 0.10% for mvp cards

Keep the same rules, except with no mod abuse this time
No ban, ever, instead having punishment done:
If someone cheated, they get all their items wiped, characters back to lvl 1, and are forced to play at x1 rate
No renewal content, keep the item balance around 11.3
Keep some of the new balance changes
Remove supernigger as a class since they just want to be carried by people instead of playing an actual role while asking for 1000 buffs to solo play the game
Nerf sniper and gunslinger and any dps only classes so that people act less like niggers and reduce their ability to solo mvps

Any other suggetions? I checked how to make a ragnarok pre-renewal server and it looks to be insanely easy

With a seasonal server, you want the mvp cards to be at least 0.10%
So that there is enough luck to have some of them drop in 6 months, making every season feel fresh and unique

One season will have someone who managed to get that mvp card, or those one, or that one! Which bring fresh air to the server

I also have an idea of reworking how the pvp work, Player vs Player in such a laggy game is dumb and really low skill, and the meta is all about spamming 1000 items off cooldown

I have a lot of ideas, mainly from Classic WoW, the last best mmo ever made, to implement in Ragnarok online and how the private server scene used to survive (seasonal servers were one of those things, since the journey, rush to max level, rush to gearing yourself, and doing it all over again was what people loved)

I also plan to have every previous server still open, but in a "frozen state", with all NPCs refusing to let you sell/buy or do quests, and every mobs being dead, so that you can still explore around with your old character from the previous season, alone or with your friends/guild, with the castle of your guild still impact, something that private servers missed back then

I think that would be neat, with each server having a name done only retroactively depending on the biggest events that happened on the server, with a short summary of what happened on it staying on the frontpage

There were talks and questions about the server having a discord and dev-chud/trooncord would deny the discord's existence or just straight up say that if the server had a discord the threads would die.

Their facade didn't last too long since a mlp 2hu obsessed fuck caved in under the pressure of his trooncord leaking his devianart, which he deleted right away but can still find images if you search for "tritoniumx5pony", and just overall being the shitty people they are but towards him and he leaked the trooncord, which forced them to start banning anyone who joined in fears that "there would be cp spamming" (im fucking plying you faggots weren't already sharing that kind of shit since you're mentally ill)

After the discord leaked the population declined and stayed under 20, the trooncord continued having their drama while most sane people just moved on to other servers, and they tried to hide the fact they got exposed as lying shit by...lying some more. The server is still up to this very day at 333that's3threes.com.

It's very likely that most the people left in ragna/v/3 are part of the trooncord or got groomed by them since they also are heavily obsessed with ERP, shit was so bad they made multiple lewd art of dev-chud getting fucked by a nigger and one even depicts dev-chud getting fucked in front of one of their members (literally cuckhold art)

It's just luck and how much you kill MvPs, I also think they're high since we do see MvP card drop every other week but I also don't really mind it too much since it's a non-PvP server, if the server had PvP it would be a real problem, I think.
