I used Mimic Tear and shield poke and I still had a rough time. Made it much more fun though.

I walked into Consort Radahn's fight with Ansbach and Thiollier in tow (for story reasons) and I could instantly tell the fight would be torture. I ended up using shield poke and Mimic Tear. Tough bastard still took me a couple tries but now it was actually fun.
