I bought a Quest 3 and I eventually realized that the thing I was enjoying wasn't the visuals but the improved motion controls. I think shit like Alyx and Blade and Sorcery would unironically be more appealing to a general audience if it was just the motion controls shooting and melee except on a normal big screen TV. The visual element is cool for a few minutes then your brain stops being impressed by it but the annoyance of having a screen taped to your eyes persists
