That's optimistic, I think. I'd say it's like a 60/40 shot of being a shithead online and also shithead IRL, vs just fucking around online while being relatively normal IRL, probably even 70/30 on some days. And some would say I'M being optimistic with these numbers, too. I might've agreed with you 10 years ago, and yeah, a portion of the posters in question are underage b& trying to be "le epic troll", but the internet has gotten significantly more deranged since then. And while bait is still a thing, I don't think a lot of the posters you see day to day on /v/ are playing pretend anymore. Many times what you think is bait is just actually what that anon thinks unironically, now.
