DX2 is a really weird example of SEGA frankensteining one of their IPs enough to let it survive.
DX2 is the exception that proves the rule for SEGA though, they've mismanaged much bigger IP Gachas and investments into EOS within a year or less multiple times. DX2 is basically one of the only ones you can kind of point at and even then it's not something you'd really want to get into and play.

Sin Chronicle, Sakura Revolution, Revolv8 and War Pirates and pic related were all killed consistently within a year.

Is there a reason people will cite DX2 and not the numerous live services that SEGA have mismanaged into the ground with EoS within a year? SEGA are just a step away from crunchyroll in their track record.
