Young people don't watch Star Trek and they sure as fuck don't watch NuTrek. NuTrek is watched by middle-aged Star Trek fans suffering from sunk cost fallacy. And trannies too, I suppose. But they never cared about Star Trek anyway, they just latched onto because it pandered to them. Alex Kurtzman genuinely thought that those queers would be the next generation of Star Trek fans, without realizing that they never liked Star Trek and quickly moved on from it.
