thank you, thank you. But yeah the cam rotates every single time the BCG travels rearward, regardless of whether it's in super safe or semi. That being said the lever is only rotating about 20 degrees back and forth. Some have speculated the cam could eventually hog out the safety hole, though that's not really an issue with the trigger/hammer pins on normal AR's so I would be surprised if it really results in any abnormal wear. Time will tell
The lever & cam itself are fairly durable but depends on what material you use. Nylon printed ones will definitely fail sooner or later, D2/S2 tool steel ones will probably outlive the barrel.
