My first impressions were often wrong about most things, so hopefully I'll warm up to it. I was just really in the mood for a sword knight, and I think I saw that Barbie was slightly cheaper than Lupus or was the only one in stock at the time.

I like playing with my robots and I'm not good at coming up with poses, so they'll return to a neutral standing pose by the end of the day. That and I don't want them to feel tired, combat poses can feel mean, and other autistic reasons.

Topcoat is also worrying because my panel lining and sanding would assuredly not be good enough to seal with topcoat... but having to re-marker faded stuff sucks. I've only had to use water decals for two kits (for a girl robot and Lacus, for their eyes) but it was an absolute nightmare, and I don't really need a billion detail decals for my kits, although I should probably treat one kit to them so I see how it looks in-hand. Maybe having the serial number and 50 caution/warning labels is fine in person. Inversely I didn't even panel-line my Gyan because I wanted him to remain pure and look even less like a robot and moreso like a living knight.

That would have been slightly more interesting than what we got..
It's depressing that this was some people's first Gundam show, but at least it got people to start watching the original show (hopefully the show). It does feel nice returning to your first show and properly understanding the callbacks.
