I don't think shunning tactics work if you really understand what the concept of Anonymous means. It means I don't really care what you call me, I am faceless and I have to rep to defend on a site. People bragging on 4chan don't understand being Anon. Each day you close your session and go to bed, you leave this site with empty pockets. You cannot take your e-cred with you the next day.
Slurs will do 1 thing exactly perfectly and reproducibly: People will go to a different tab and talk to someone more intelligent and willing to write a long post.
