Got some of the snowpony idea down. Sorry if it's not very clear, I'm very pressed for time this weekend.
SnowPony
Offshoots of the Earthpony race. Many moons ago they were reclusive and one would have to journey out to the cold and frozen north territories to even see them. Seemingly overnight bands of them would make pilgrimage to Equestria's major cities. Where their communities take root they do all they can to help the downtrodden and care for what little nature there is left within city walls, even resorting to more drastic means of preservation if necessary.
Snowponies can have a max of 7 in the Body and Soul Attributes as well as gaining access to Shamanic magic casting and spells. A Snowpony must also take the Heat Sensitivity negative trait in addition to any other positive and negative traits they have.
Heat Sensitivity – Gain a temporary -1 penalty to Body, Swiftness, and Appeal while in areas of high heat without means of cooling down.
Shamanic Magic and Casting
The Snowponies' attunement with nature itself has allowed them to use their own type of magic despite their lack of horns. While this does mean they're not able to simply fire off spells at a moment's notice like unicorns can it does mean that they potentially can cast spells that would be normally outside an equivalent unicorn's skill.
A Snowpony with at least a 4 in Soul can learn Shamanic magic. Shamanic magic spells rely on verbal chanting and often have physical spell component requirements as well. A Snowpony under the Silence status effect cannot cast Shamanic magic. A Snowpony can craft a Shamanic Focus to bypass the physical components needed for a Shamanic spell as long as they are wielding it. Shamanic Focuses can be made with a single magic item or magic reliant cybernetic as well as one mundane item of equal or larger size of the player's choosing. It takes one full day to create a Shamanic Focus.
