Why does Nyaan need Machu then? What need does Machu fulfill for her? This is what's missing the most from the relationship between the two. They just sorta become friends and then stick around each other.
I don't really get the emotional punchline of Nyaan becoming Mavs with her because I don't really know what it means for her. Why did she want Machu's acceptance?
Same vice versa. Machu was using her as escapism from her mundane life at first and had the falling out with her because she saw that escapism being threatened by her, but we never saw it developing into something more healthy for her because they didn't meet again until the end.

I do wish we get a comedy SoL 4koma spinoff manga of Gqux or something. I really like Machu and Nyaan as characters and I wish there had been more opportunities to see them hang out in their casual clothes.
Machu with her groupie school friends is also a situation I want to see.
