There were a few comparisons drawn to mandela catalogue but I think it makes more sense to compare it to "invasion of the body snatchers." Something I like about the series is how there are several branching side-stories without a main one. I liked Marisa's struggle to fight against Variant Cirno and Variant Remilia. for a cheap animatic with a shoelace budget, It does its job well at keeping you invested enough to see what will happen next.
