thanks for the earnest reply. i personally think they are just creatures of novelty. once the "magic" of having a high-status man to herself wears off, it becomes normalized, and they become bored of it. they enjoy making their friends jealous and the perception of "chad chose me, not you"... but once it wears off, they start looking elsewhere in pursuit of the same high, fresh again.

i suppose it's akin to how chad is always looking for new pussy, even though all pussy feels the same when your dick is in it. but you know, it's another notch on his belt or whatever.

culture series is great by the way. a post scarcity utopia of humanoid aliens and ai stretching across the milky way. if you liked that then the polity series by neal asher is another galaxy spanning civilization run by ai and fighting an ultraviolent war against giant enemy crabs, also a great series. i highly recommend
