Last I checked, Sonic isn't an effeminate drummer punk. He's pure-hearted and works on the other side of the law, and has a soul that Sonic doesn't have. Manic is soft where Sonic isn't. Making Manic into "Scourge but if he was nice" is lame as fuck. It makes Manic look like a weak faggot susceptible to corruption and makes Scourge look like he's some kind of joke ripoff of Venom. Both are better off as their own characters, born from their own unique circumstances. Turning them into the same character because they both happen to be green hedgehogs is hamfisted.
