Had this idea stemming from the intended dynamic the 2 were meant to have in Sonic 2, where it was based on Picollo and Gohan's from the Saiyan Saga. What if Sonic WAS like Piccolo or Shadow-like in demeanor, and it was Tails and Amy who helped him lighten up to be the Sonic we know today.
