Brady often had the best stats. His 07 season is by most measures the single best statistical season of all time (highest DYAR, 2nd highest DVOA, highest EPA, 2nd highest EPA/play, highest QBR). It is in fact you who doesn't know anything. Brady is statistically a top 2 regular season QB, the other being Peyton.

So it seems Brady has led the best offenses, had the highest statistical per game peak and 2nd highest per drop back statistical peak. He also has by far the best longevity. Obvious choice for the best QB here.
I think his accomplishments overshadow his play too heavily. His resume is so overwhelming that his play takes a literal backseat, despite it being clearly a top 2 regular season peak in NFL history, and an easy argument for #1.
The rangz, super bowls, post-season, longevity, volume etc. are on top of that. He has 7 rings because he is the best, not he is the best because he has 7 rings.
