Remember that time when GME, for no reason whatsoever, opened up at $80 and the option chain was giving away boatloads of free money. It was like a broken fire hydrant spilling water all over the street.
What explanation could there be that my $10 shares in April 2024 would do an 8X in a month and the premium paid for the right to buy my shares would be far in excess of what the supposed actual price was? Who would skip buying shares at $10 in April 2024 suddenly be desperate enough to offer $10 per share to buy the rights to my shares with only a few days expiry?
