I'm not even kidding, the last two years of our friendship was just her waiting with bated breath to get on hormones and get breast implants and me watching as every single delay and obstacle drove her further into insanity. She was one of the most celebrated authors in that circle, if not the absolute top dog, but our private life gave me into a window into nothing short of a picturesque transgender mental spiral. She eventually just disappeared from the internet.
