I don't keep bottles sitting around open unless they're rare.
I usually just have 1 or 2 bottles at a time and then I finish them before buying more.
I've got 2 Willletts opened on my wardrobe, but otherwise I finished off a bottle of Elijah Craig last week and haven't bothered picking up anything else since.
