Imo they are equally far from the real Fallout mechanically, and I don't think the real Fallout system is anything special. Fallout 1/2 are probably some of the most broken and terribly balanced games I've ever played.

Yes, I currently have more mods installed on NV than on Fallout 4. There's a lot of cool stuff but the same can be said about Fallout 4.
Just as I can fix problems and add new quests in NV I can do the same with Fallout 4. It's literally that stupid picture with small and large cake and I'm happy having both cakes

I like building things and settlements and see world change because of it. Also sorry but Fallout 4 companions are better than NV
