Towards the end of the original they were trying to rehab Bobby as not a lazy stupid shit. The powderpuff one where he leads, the cultural fair where hes in charge and works hard, the vegetable garden where he puts in the effort for farming, and the hank is afraid of bats episode, where he learns the value of hard work and prosper planning, and the steak looking at final where took control and won. He was absolutely a useless turd for the majority of the series, so it is shocking what they decided hed become, but you can see it some of the hints at it.
