I think it's a little hard to. All countries adjacent to India that are not Pakistan suffer from this. We'll never amount to being anything more than "Indians but X".
I find it insanely more cool to see this improvised mode of multiversal travel than what the show is used to.
Its probably because its nore comprehensible to the viewer than sci fi so advanced its just magic.
