Live in a shitty part of town and white trash friend got me into firearms before he left to join the army so I well stocked. Main priority would be to look after my younger sister. Police HQ is build like a Flak tower and I would try to join whoever is left at the station. Friends(other than army bro) all live within walking distance and go to the range more than me so I think I would nave enough for a small convoy to move a year's worth of supplies and transport a portable generator or two and my meat freezer. Bridges off the island would probably either get wrecked by the military or overrun by the zombies. Best way off the island would be by boat/ferry or plane if hunkering down doesn't work.

Finally saved up enough to buy Atreides fortress style on top of the Harko style, so my base is black and green. There is nothing else to do in the game other than some trainer quests but I have to wait for my respec to unlock.
