yes there is a point, because if there is no law to wear helmets then you can just fall off your bike, hit your head and then sue the city for having dangerous roads, whereas if there's laws to wear helmets then it's your fault for not wearing a helmet and hitting your head, and can't sue the city for it
I think there's a point in archiving games, but people crying that they bought something and therefore it must be available to them forever is stupid, if genshin shuts down personally I don't care, I already had my fun with it, but thinking about how future generations won't be able to play it does make me think that it should be archived, genshin is a marvel of humanity and people should be able to enjoy it for centuries to come, regardless of how I feel about the fate of my account or other people's accounts
