Rouge is among the characters who is depicted with far more prominent animal traits than others. She hangs upside down a lot, she prefers darker environments, she has sensitive hearing, she has a sonic screech attack, etc. She is way more bat-like than Sonic has ever been a hedgehog. Rouge is easily one of the most outwardly furry members of the cast.
