There is something spectacular and impressive about watching Prime Amy mentally close the door on Sonic. She's had enough.

She understands that "The wind" is not just some cute gimmick. It's some sort of mental disorder that hasn't been known to science. She could wait years, decades. This man will not mature. Sonic isn't a provider, Sonic will not give her children or a home. When the world isn't ending, who is Sonic but a lazy, sight-seeing vagabond?
She wasted years trying to get his attention. Trying to get him to respect her, to love her.
Worst of all, she wasted *Today*. She gathered all of Sonic's closest friends (and Rouge, who she historically hates having around Sonic) just for this day.

Does Amy care about Tails or Knuckles? Are they pals? No, those are Sonic's friends. This party is for Sonic. She made sure his favorite food was available. This is the perfect day for him.

What does he do? Accuse her of trying to trick him by dragging him along here, say she's too "sentimenta" (This is Amy's greatest strength as a character) and then eat all the food, leaving none for anyone. Why? Because he felt like it. Because he does what he wants. Because he's the wind.

He's not a hero. Well now he's not her hero. Sonic is just some lucky cosmic fluke. Trying to marry him is just as valuable as marrying the wind. There is no love in those sharp, piercing horrifying eyes. Even if he DID get her pregnant he would never stick around and help, he would probably abandon the family to train some random indian for a decade.

We didn't have humans for over 10 years because of the West. Boom was meant to pander to the West. The Santiago nostalgiafaggotry was meant to pander to the West. Uwuver is because of the West. They shelved the Modern characters for years because of the West. The reason we have seemingly dumb mandates like the anti-money mandate is not because there's no money in Sonic's world; it's because SoJ doesn't trust Westies not to write about Sonic doing his damn taxes and paying bills. They shouldn't listen to you or anyone else here. Those are separate characters. Tails is not Boomer. Tails is Tails. Tails' creator has stated that he was originally designed with the intent of being five years old, but his age was increased to 8. With Amy, the discrepancy between her initially planned age of being a high school cheerleader and the manual citing her as 8 has led me to conclude it's likely a factor correlated with the manga where Nicky was 10 and Amy was his girlfriend while Sonic was a time traveling sixteen year old. The way I think things might have gone:

Sonic was conceptualized as 18 in Sonic 1, originally. Amy was conceptualized as a high school cheerleader or whatever, younger than Sonic by a few years at most keeping the dynamic of him seeing her as a "kid" like any 'senpai' character's perception of their "kohai".

The manga is developed, where Sonic is instead 16 but is the alter-ego of 10-year-old Nicky. A young boy transforming into a powerful hero, like Shazam or whatever. So Amy, as the love interest Minnie Mouse figure, is implemented as Nicky's girlfriend that also admires his alter ego.

CD is in development around the same time, and so Amy's character profile in the JP manual lists her age in correspondence with her manga appearance rather than the initial cheerleader concept, since that would have been the most recent thing they would have likely used as reference.

Sonic's own age is never mentioned in CD, as far as I'm aware or have ever seen. By the time SA1 rolls around, they revised everything so Amy ended up being 12 to his 15.

If I invented a character called Bubble the Fox and claimed he transforms into Sparky the Kitsune when angry, that doesn't make Sparky and Bubble the same character. The point is, The Sonic Family including Amy were all designed by Ohshima in 1991. But "Sonic" was 18, and then 16 or 15~16, while Nicky was 10. Amy's age between "high school cheerleader" and "eight year old" is likely a discrepancy caused by the Manga implementing her as the girlfriend for the ten year old Nicky before Sonic CD and it's own Manual were finalized. And/or whoever put together Amy's character profile in the manual likely got confused from using the manga as a reference alongside or within whatever internal references they had on Amy's character. And these discrepancies wouldn't be ironed out until Sonic Adventure.

That "original character outline" describes Sonic as 18, so that's what he was at first. In the manga, he's said to be Nicky from six years later. Sonic Jam says he's 15 to 16. And finally, the modern era has him as 15 since Sonic Adventure.
