I'm a sonic fan but sonic being faster than barry is bullshit, but it was also bullshit how batman beat metal sonic.

Sonic against darkseid is tricky, normal sonic maybe could have no chance, but super sonic? That's an easy guess
People like to forget sonic and kirby are actual gods/eldritch monsters killers.
Heck in sonic last game he literally fought with the abstract concepts of death/end of all things.
