>I will kill God
God is already dead or worse in several settings like Shadow of the Demon Lord, and the Supreme Archetype is not God
>and ruin existence
There are facets of existence like many SCP continuities, Maeltopia and Drakengard where hope is a cruel joke.

The multiverse is already a theocide-littered pile of ruin, I’m just cleaning up.

That is the general gist of it! I am technically doing my best to defend and protect the most benevolent cosmic being in the setting while also supporting humanity’s defenders, I am just going about it in a way so extreme that the setting’s equivalent of the Zoroastrian Angra Mainyu has decided that edging me into hollowing it out and wearing it like a leather armour is actually great for it’s goal/principle of reducing existence to it’s simplest state through natural selection.

I am hinging on the fact that I fucking hate the thing too much to do anything it wants on general principle so my goal is effectively to hoard it’s power so nobody else can wield absolute power over the Darkness. It is hinging on the hope that I’ll eventually lose my temper at other alien life and start embracing being a superior version of it’s previous favourite weapon.

The difference between Aurbis and Destiny’s cosmologies reflects my different approaches to them. Aurbis was born, or perhaps slain, in betrayal and almost all the dominant powers within it are elementally malicious and beyond meaningful consequence. Even many of the benevolent ones participate in acts like the destruction of the world because the setup of the cosmology mandates it. That is why I ultimately sic’d 3 SMT Nocturne endings on it.

By contrast, the Traveller is at least genuinely trying to help. Hence why I’m willing to limit my murderhoboing there to it’s “rules”, to grant humanity the Golden Age and terraform some empty planets for it to colonise, and to quarantine my Nine-sized, Vex-cultivated, Witness monstergirl project in a completely separate [game] while continuing to pay lip service to the Vanguard without waving a hand and silencing every spark of mortal dissent forever.

>The Traveller would sooner rather kill itself
If only. The Traveller was willing to offer Savathun after billions of years of Hive genocide. The Traveller was, in the Flain Suit’s lore, STILL trying to reason with the Witness and offer it solace from it’s loneliness even as it was being mutilated. I would actually be relieved if the Traveller did hate me, to know it’s proactively protecting itself.

The fact that it can’t help but offer mercy makes me worry for it.

It’s not just that. I’ve taken into account the consequences of my own created jumps being slotted early in my chain beyond just “OMG Power!!!”. Part of the problem is that between friends my Jumper made from clashes in the heat of battle, friends with completely alien perspectives following Jumper around out of curiosity and friends who are by their nature, well…the Goddess in the Red Dress and literally Lilith, my Jumper has been surrounded by terrible influences, enablers and had time to get accustomed to a massive power imbalance for a long time.
